We have some amazing supporters who from time to time play a huge role in Fundraising for Connecting Hands. Fundraising is one of our biggest challenges and we couldn’t be more thankful to these wonderful individuals who assist us, without their support we certainly wouldn’t be able to do the work we do.
A big thank you to Connecting Hands very own Ambassador Janella Purcell.
Janella held a Health & Wellbeing workshop in Melbourne on the 22nd March with all the proceeds going towards Connecting Hands training cafe in Cambodia that is opening in July this year.
It was an amazing afternoon enjoyed by over 160 people attending raising $11k for our project.
Byron Bay Roller Derby Makes a dash for Freedom!
On the 7th March the Bay Rollers Roller Derby played the Tweed Valley Vixens in a fundraising ‘Bout for Freedom’ event in Byron Bay organised by Brianna Bowers.
Roller derby as a sport empowers women to be strong and stand together in a supporting, non-judgmental environment and the Community Spirit shone through as the teams battled it out on the ring. Together they showed that anyone can make a stand against Human Trafficking and raise awareness and funds to help victims find their own strength and empowerment.
A big thank you to Brianna Bowers for organising such a fantastic event raising $3057.75
