School & Kindergarten
Having a formal education is a proven key factor in eliminating the risk of human trafficking.
With most parents living below the poverty line on approx. $1.25 per day, poverty often forces parents into desperate situations, this includes sending their children out to work putting them in highly dangerous situations. This means children are denied the rights to an education as they are pulled out of school to work.
All children of mothers receiving training at our cafe receive a formal education. We cover the costs of them attending school, kindergarten or childcare depending on their age.
Through our outreach program, we also educate mothers on the importance of schooling for children, and provide them with educations packs to encourage early learning and development.
